From September 2006 the new JBS Radio control club will start. It will run initially on Thursday evenings although I anticipate more evenings being used in the summer months.
It will cater for Radio control land based Vehicles, car, trucks, hovercraft, anything that can be run on either the main school field or hard base areas.
Any student is welcome from year 7 though to year 13 although what we would ask is that you have your own RC vehicle. Ideally you need to have a car/truck with a radio system where the crystals can be changed. Toy radio controlled cars are welcome but this club does not really cater for them, and you will find that you will not be able to race against others due to not being able to change the frequency of your transmitter/receiver.
Any fuel type vehicle is welcome, petrol, nitro or electric.
In the dryer months we will use areas around the school and the field and in the wetter ones the school hall and gym.
This page will keep you posted of events we will run in Calne and hopefully these events will be opened up to the wider community.
The club is not just about racing; modifying cars/trucks, jumping, bashing, drag racing, you name it, time to have fun.
